How is a UPS recycled?

   The purpose of a UPS or uninterruptable power supply is to provide momentary power and surge protection to your computer in the event of a brief power failure.  When a UPS is recycled is it dismantled into its individual components such as batteries, metal, plastic, transformers, wire, etc.  The individual components are then further refined to base materials such as lead, copper, plastic etc.
